A "follow-up" to the Lord's Prayer at Mass

We used this during Advent one year, following on from the Lord's Prayer. Debatable whether we could use it again in light of new translations etc, but may be useful elsewhere!

We thank you, Father, for coming to dwell in our hearts, and for the knowledge and

faith and immortality, which you have made known to us through Jesus your Son.

All: Glory to you for ever.

You are blessed O Lord; you have nourished us from our youth; you give food to all

peoples for their enjoyment; but to us you freely give spiritual food and drink and life

eternal through your Son. Fill our hearts with joy and gladness, that having always

what is sufficient for us, we may abound to every good work in Christ Jesus our Lord.

All: Glory to you for ever.

Remember, Lord, your Church; deliver it from all evil and make it perfect in your

love. Gather it from the four winds, sanctified for your kingdom which you have

prepared for it.

All: For yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory for ever and ever.

Let grace come, and let this world pass away. Hosanna to the Son of David! If any

one is holy, let him come; if any one is not so, let him repent.

All: Maranatha. Come Lord Jesus. Amen.
